Optimism Strikes Back

You've gotta love the concise blurbs of positivity brought to you every year by The New York Times.  I, being a nerd, always feel as giddy as a budding sorostitute when the hottest new Cosmo arrives on the shelves chock full of bullshit about love and menstruation.  The fact that people continue to come up with innovative solutions, theories and products and are discovering new things about the universe and our own biosphere is the only reason that I still think we've got a chance to save ourselves from what I see as an almost guaranteed worldwide crisis in four to five decades.  Enough of my pessimistic dribble to which you should be well accustomed, enjoy the read.
